You know we all backup our movies at one time or another. Some people download them illegally and some get subscriptions with Netflix or Hulu. Whatever the case is, you have a few options when it comes to connecting your media to you television. I am just going to go over what I do to view my movies or videos online.

First Things First
Can you guess what you’ll need? That’s right, a computer. You’ll need a computer to download your videos or back them up. You can obviously transfer your videos onto a storage device, which I will go over next. Your computer is essentially a gateway to everything media on your household.

Storage Device
Next, what I use is two storage devices. One 32 gig USB and a terabyte hard drive to store all my movies so that my computer doesn’t get bogged down by just movies. In most cases your hard drive will be just fine but the problem lies with size. I am good with my 2 inch USB stick in my tiny apartment. Plus I don’t like wires hanging from everywhere. One of these days, I’ll set up a killer system where I will have all things wireless in my living area.

Streaming Your Movies
So far I’ve used my DVD player to stream content, my computer to stream content and an Xbox. I just made a recent purchase and I couldn’t be happier. You might have heard that media hubs are becoming popular. I got the WD Live Media Player and I am very happy with it. Just stick in your USB and you’re good to go.

That’s It Folks
That’s all you need to stream your videos. Its pretty simple and everything is plug and play. You don’t need to figure out anything.
