Picking a gift for a music fan can be either easy or extremely challenging. At first you may consider buying a ticket to the concert, but if the hero of the occasion is a hardcore fan, chances are they already own a ticket to their favorite band’s concert. So you may start thinking about simply buying an iTunes gift cart so the person in question could buy any music they want. But do you really want to give such an unimaginative present? If you want your present to be a surprise, here are some of the options you might want to consider:

Small wireless Bluetooth speaker would be an amazing gift for those who like throwing parties or simply enjoy listening to room-filling clear sounds. Some of these speakers are able to play up to eight hours non-stop and you can stream your favorite beats from any device that supports Bluetooth, which makes this gadget great gift for those people who like travelling with their own sound system. As a bonus, it also has built-in microphone, so it can be used as a speakerphone for conference calls as well.

There are those lucky people that seem to stay fit and healthy no matter what they do or what they eat. Unfortunately, that is not the case for most of us. Maintaining healthy life style can become quite a challenge nowadays, especially with a full-time job and a family to take care of.  If you are one of those people who are struggling to find motivation or time for taking care of yourself or simply don’t know where to start, following information on healthy life style will come in handy for you:

Sleep more. No matter how busy you are and how many urgent tasks you have on your plate, you should never deprive your body of sleep, otherwise you are risking to develop serious sleeping disorder that can decrease your immune function, harm your brain functions by halting production of new neurons and increase risk of heart deceases. And, by the way, if you are trying to lose weight while not getting enough sleep all your efforts go to waste, because your body is in constant stress due to the lack of healthy sleep. So instead of watching “Late-night with Jimmy Fallon” set up your DVR and go to bed an hour earlier. The next day you will feel more calm and energetic and will be able to better concentrate on your tasks.

When I kick back and think of Amsterdam, images that immediately spring to mind include clogs, tulips, cheese, windmills and last but not least bikes. Amsterdam is renowned for being one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the world and is quite simply a quintessential Dutch experience that cannot be missed!

Upon arriving in Amsterdam, like many other explorers, the first thing I noticed was the hordes of bikes scattered all over the city - there were almost as many bicycles as there were people. In fact research shows that the approximate 780,000 people who live in Amsterdam own an estimated 881,000 bicycles!

Because cycling is such a popular, convenient form of transport in the Netherlands, expect to see every type of person you could possibly imagine mounted upon one. From bank managers in business suits, wobbling elderly people, friends off for a night out on the town, couples hand in hand, parents loaded with their children, one in the front and one in the back basket and even our four legged friends (dogs) are getting in on some of the action.

One of the most acclaimed actors of modern times, Daniel Day- Lewis is the son of Poet Laureate Cecil Day-Lewis and holds dual British and Irish citizenship. A method actor, Daniel Day-Lewis is known for playing a range of characters, including a former president, handicapped painter and scandalous director with an eye for his leading ladies. If you’re a fan of Day-Lewis and planning a holiday, consider visiting some of the towns and sites that served as backdrops for his most famous and notorious films.

“Gangs of New York”

Based on the novel “The Gangs of New York: An Informal History of the Underworld” by Herbert Asbury, “Gangs of New York” tells the tumultuous story of five gangs that ruled a large New York neighbourhood throughout the 19th century. Daniel Day-Lewis is the controversial figure Bill “The Butcher” Poole (Cutting in the film) known for his nativist views and penchant for violence. Although shot on a stage set in Rome, there are many sites related to the film still standing throughout New York, including Paradise Square. However, the most fascinating is the burial site of Bill “The Butcher,” found at Brooklyn’s Green-Wood Cemetery. Although considered historically inaccurate, the film “Gangs of New York” is a great ride and a fascinating look at life in pre-Civil War New York.
